Margaret Janet Collins, 83, of Belleview, FL passed away Friday August 17th 2018 at her home. Margaret was born in Hohenwald, TN to Sion & Laura Lambert on August 11, 1935. She was married to Gerald Collins for 42 years, and they spent most of their free time with family, friends, and loved ones. She was employed by the State of Florida at Florida Correctional Institution for 25 years before retiring to travel the country with her family and friends. She loved to fish, crochet, but above all – she loved to be with her family.
Margaret is survived by 8 children, 24 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren; as well as her sister Betty Carter of Lake Placid FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation of friends and family will be held on Thursday August 23rd 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 24th 2018 from 10am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home; services will be officiated by longtime friend and coworker Bill Smith.
