Karen A. Ellis, 68, of Ocala, passed away Dec 2, 2015. Born in Buffalo, NY, she served in the US Navy and worked as an LPN until she retired. She was a warm, caring, non-judgmental person who practiced unconditional love with all she met. Karen was also a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for family and friends and won 3rd prize for her famous Mexican Salad. She enjoyed camping and hiking with her children, was an avid clogger and a member of the “Sundancers” cloggers club and taught many people the art of clogging. She was also a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans Auxillary and volunteered her time and talents at various service organizations.
Karen is survived by her husband, Billy W. Ellis, sons, Daniel T. (Erin) Moore, Flint E. (Lyane) Ellis; daughters, Kelly A. (Shawn) Reddick and Christina L. (Jim) Boyd; grandchildren, Alex, Audrae, Samantha, Erin, Kate, Raylee and Calvin; great-grandchildren, Mark and Gracelynn; a brother, John (Amy) Huntzinger and sister, Patty Meyers.
A Memorial Service will be at 2pm, Dec 12th, 2015 at The River House, 6275 W Riverbend Rd, Dunnellon, FL 34433
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Karen to Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated by the family.
