Justin Ryan Durham, age 48, of Odessa, FL passed away on June 8, 2023 at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1974 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Samuel F. Durham, Jr. and Rebecca J. (Rose) Maxwell.
Justin attended Bay Hope Church in Lutz, Florida. His two children, Ava and Ryan, were his pride and joy. He devoted many weekends and afternoons to coaching and cheering them on at innumerable softball and baseball games. Justin was a retired courier for FedEx, where he worked for 17 years. He was an animal lover, but dogs were always at the top of the list; he volunteered regularly at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Justin was an avid Florida Gator fan and also rooted for all the Tampa Bay teams, including the Buccaneers, the Rays and the Lightning. He enjoyed the outdoors, and especially loved being out on the water, camping, and hiking. Anyone who knew Justin also knew that he loved having a birthday on Halloween, was a horror movie fanatic, and he believed in Sasquatch.
He is survived by his two children, Ava Rose Durham (19) and Ryan Wesley Durham (17) and their mother, Amy Durham; parents, Rebecca J. (Lonnie) Maxwell and Samuel F. (Susan) Durham, Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Samuel F. (Lynne) Durham, Marjorie (Sloan) Rose, and Luther B.
