Higinio Gomez-Arauz, 93, of Ocala passed away February 5, 2013 at West Marion Community Hospital. He was born on January 11, 1920 in Chiriqui, Republic of Panama a son to the late Juan Bautista Gomez and the late Victoriana Arauz. He was of the catholic faith and enjoyed riding his bicycle. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years Lucinia Arauz, two sons Hignio Arauz, Jr. in Panama, Alexis (Narsisa) Arauz in Canada, three daughters Demaris (Boris) Escheves also in Canada, Luzmila Arauz of Miami, Gisela (William) Velez in Belleview, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday February 10, 2013 from 1:30pm – 3:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
