Genevieve Opal Parks, age 85 passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Brandley House in Summerfield, Florida . Genevieve was born in Niles, Michigan to the late Grayson S. and Ruby (Harrison) Austin.
Genevieve was affectionately known as Jenny to all who knew and loved her.
Jenny took pride in raising her son and three daughters. She attended Central Baptist Church. Jenny enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and doing ceramics.
Jenny was preceded in death by her husband, Bill G. Parks; son, James L. Parks; sister, Shirley Likes; brothers, Bud Austin, Vernon Austin, Bob Austin, Wayne Austin and Ralph Austin.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Deborah R. (Scott) Smith, Peggy (Kevin) Hendricks and Carol (Angelo) Ragosta; sisters, Patricia Smalt and Susan Cox.
Jenny was also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Brandley House, Summerfield, FL.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, FL 34480 officiated by Dr. Andy Bloom. 352-622-8181.
