Gary Michael Cregier, age 71, of Lake Mary, Florida passed away on May 15, 2023 at AdventHealth Hospice in Altamonte Springs, Florida. He was born June 23, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Adolph “Craig” Alexander and Rose Nancy (Mijanovich) Cregier.
Gary graduated from Hialeah High School - Class of 1970. He was a drummer in the marching band, performing in Super Bowl II and III with his bandmates. he also played the drums for his church in Miami for 24 years.
Besides having a great love for being a drummer, Gary enjoyed fishing and bowling. He loved watching wrestling and football with his son. Gary also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He attended Miami Bible Institute. He later retired as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Hialeah after 28 years of service.
After moving to the Central Florida area, Gary became a greeter at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. He loved his job and meeting new people. He never met a stranger, had a servant's heart , and was a loyal friend. Gary was blessed with a unique sense of humor that made everyone around him at ease.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Linda J. Cregier; son, Jeremy M. Cregier; daughter, Staci K. (Jake) Smith; sister, Linda (Cregier) Alotta and five grandchildren, Skylar, Maverick, Chloe, Stella and Jude.
A Celebration of Life will be 11 am, Friday, June 2, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 S. Pine Avenue, Ocala, FL 34480.
