Ella Mae Lindsey, 81, of Ocala Florida passed away on June 19, 2017 in her home with her family by her side. Ella was born on April 2, 1936 in Darke, Ohio to loving parents James L. and Nida E. Kelley. Ella married Herman Lindsey and together they celebrated 60 years of happy marriage.
Ella was a loving, caring wife and mother that put family first. She was a hard worker, working in her home and working in her career. Ella spent 13 years as office manager for the Marion County DOT vehicle tag office. She also worked as a bookkeeper at a local horse farm and as a bookkeeper at DAYCO Hose and Rubber.
Ella celebrated her faith for many years with Grace Episcopal Church. Above all else she loved to spend time with her family; many days were spent with her kids at the lake or outdoors enjoying God's creation.
She is preceded in death by her son Gary.
Ella is survived by her husband, Herman; her daughter Sandra Vaughn, sons Dennis Lindsey and Todd (Patty) Lindsey, as well as 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother Jim (Betty) Stump. She is also survived by many friends that she worked with.
Ella Mae and Herman will be laid to rest together at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 S. Pine Ave on June 17, 2023 at 11 am. Services will conclude at the cemetery.
