Duane L. "DJ" Johnson, 82, passed away on April 24, 2019 in Ocala, FL. DJ was born on November 23rd 1936 to loving parents Leland & Pearl Johnson in Minnesota. He married the love of his life, Patricia Razink, and their marriage lasted 50 years, and they saw 4 children light their lives. For many years they lived in the St. Louis Park area in Minnesota before retiring to Ocala.
DJ provided for his family by serving proudly in the United States Navy during The Korean War, and later worked dilligently as a brickmason. He was a talented and skilled craftsman who built many sturdy structures that beautified the world. He was also a Licensed Captain of a charter fishing boat "Playtime-Two," working side by side with his wife for many years. In his spare time he loved to hunt, fish, spend time with his family. He collected trophies of his hunts and loved to be outdoors among nature.
DJ is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and two brothers; two of his children, Rhoda Mae and Kathryn Lee.
DJ is survived by his wife, Patricia Johnson; his daughter Barbara (Don) Pavey; his son Daniel Robert Boon. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many other family and friends.
