Dorothy A. Allison, 81, of Summerfield, FL passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Ocala, FL. She was born in Danville, NY and moved to this area in 1980 from Winterdale, PA. Dorothy loved gardening, country music, and especially, children and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Summerfield. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Walter and a grandson. She is survived by her children, Danny Allison and wife Donna, Cynthia Geer and husband Allan, Randy Allison and wife Mary Jane, Steven Allison, Walter Allison and wife Mary, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2 pm with family to accept friends 1 hour prior at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 5740 S. Pine Ave., Ocala, FL 34480 with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Hospice of Marion County at 352-854-5218.
