Born on September 6, 1927, in Haverstraw, New York. Anna was a woman of great strength, grace, and faith. She faced every challenge with a smile and never lost her positive outlook on life. She devoted her life to her family and friends, always putting others before herself. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, and she touched the lives of everyone she met.
She was the daughter of the late Mary Miele Gerace and Joseph Gerace. She was united in marriage to James Franklin Lowe, to this union was blessed with five children: James Lowe (Lisa)of Middletown, NY, David Lowe(Dolores) of Stony Point, NY, Faith Hoskins of West Liberty, KY, Nadine Lowe of Ocala, FL, and Joel Lowe(Kristina) of Middletown, NY.
Anna worked as Head of the Circulation Department at the Ocala Library. Anna was also President of the Italian American Club in West Haverstraw, NY. She also enjoyed volunteering at her local Meals on Wheels and at the Brick Museum in Haverstraw.
Anna was a devout Catholic, and her faith was a source of comfort and strength throughout her life. She lived her life according to her beliefs, always spreading kindness and compassion.
Anna wore many titles throughout her long life, but the ones she wore the proudest were wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Throughout her life, she was a constant source of love, laughter, and guidance. She had a smile and personality that could chase away any bad day. Her warm embrace, gentle soul, and love for life will greatly be missed by all those who knew her.
Anna lived a long full life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. She was married to her best friend for 64 years and went on to raise a beautiful family. In addition to her five children, Anna leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was very big on making memories and spending time with life-long friends, Rita and Rose, and her loving family.
Anna was an inspiration to us all. Her unwavering strength, grace, and kindness will always be remembered. She taught us the true meaning of love and what it means to live life to the fullest.
Although she may be gone, her love and spirit will live on in our hearts forever. We take comfort in knowing that she is with Jesus in heaven.
A visitation for Anna will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 11528 US Highway 301, Belleview, FL 34420, followed by a committal service at 11:30 AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.
