A public viewing will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral service at 1st Morning Star MBC, 1501 90th Ave. Oakland, Ca will occur Monday, March 25, 2024 at 11:AM. Burial at Rolling Hills Memorial Park 4100 Hilltop Dr, Richmond, Ca.
Mrs. Lottie Mary Toliver, affectionately known as Lottie Mae was born March 25, 1941 in Alto, Louisiana to the parents of Otis and Leuretha Spears. She received her education at Little Flower Catholic School located in Monroe, Louisiana and attended Richwood High School in Richwood, Louisiana. At an early age Mrs. Lottie accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour. She was baptized at Sugartown Baptist Church. In 1961 she met the love of her life Mr. Henry Toliver. In November 1967 the two united in Holy Matrimony. To this union GOD blessed them with three daughters. In 1966 the family moved to Oakland, California. Lottie attended California Training School for Nurses Aides and Orderlies. September 12, 1968 she was certified a Nurse Aid and attended Laney College to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Lottie was a dedicated worker at Piedmont Gardens and retired after 31 years of service.
Lottie found peace in her yard, gardening. She also loved entertaining family and friends, cooking and shopping.
At the end of her life's journey Mrs. Lottie was preceded in death by her devoted husband Mr. Henry Toliver, staying true to their vows til death do us part. Parents; Otis and Leuretha Spears, Sisters; Gloria Lee Butler Washington, Dorothy Mae Spears-Robinson, Brothers; Odis Spears Jr., Willie Roger Spears and Carl Earl Spears.
