She attended Theodore Roosevelt High School, Brigham Young University, and Fresno State College.
Growing up, Sara enjoyed gymnastics and diving. After college, Sara became a Stewardess for Western Airlines for a few years.
In 1972, Sara and her husband, Ed, moved to Coarsegold, where they raised their family and became involved in the community. Sara served as a School Board Trustee for 47 years in Eastern Madera County impacting countless students, teachers, parents, and citizens by listening to their needs and concerns and fighting for their interests and rights. She served as a Trustee at Coarsegold Elementary School, Yosemite Union High School, and the Madera County Board of Education. She served several years as a Delegate at Large for the California School Board Association and the California County Board of Education. Sara also served as a board member for the Community Hospital of Central California Foundation.
Sara worked with her husband, Ed in Real Estate Development for 45 years, including residential lot development, commercial shopping centers, and medical buildings.
Sara's true passion in life was her family. She was particularly proud of them and loved them more than words can express, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Sara was preceded in death by her husband Ed: son Sam: parents, Cecil and Irene King: and two brothers, Jerry King and James King.
Sara is survived by her daughter Lisa Morinini and her husband Dino, and son Eric Wilkins and his wife Kristie, and her stepsons Mike Wilkins and his wife, Thea and Jeffrey Wilkins; Grandchildren, Connor Morinini, Sammi Morinini, Gunner Morinini, Reagan Wilkins, Hunter Wilkins, Sean Wilkins, and Brooke Wilkins; Great Grandchildren, Cora Wilkins, Lucy Wilkins, Channing Davis, and Taven Lyman; sisters Connie Crandall and Dawna Ashjian.
A Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Oakhurst CA, on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 11:00 am., followed by food and drinks. A private Burial Service will be held at Oakhill Cemetery on Saturday, August 5th.
