Richard H. Wagner, age 70, passed away on September 6th, 2023, surrounded by family, after a seven-year battle with his health. He was born August 26, 1953, in Chicago, IL to Donald and Helen Wagner. He is survived by his mother, Helen Wagner; former wife, Anne Wagner; daughters, Emma Wagner, Helen (Jimmy) Ryan, Elizabeth Shakespeare (Dan Suarez), Laura Shakespeare (Elliot Donahue); and grandson, Will Suarez.
Rick practiced psychiatry for thirty years after graduating from Northwestern University in 1975 and Chicago Medical School in 1990. He owned a private practice in Barrington and worked at surrounding hospitals from 1995-2022. He enjoyed fishing with his father, watching movies with his family, and telling a good joke. He is already greatly missed.
Services will be held at the Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois on September 15th, 2023. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM. Burial to follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.
