Richard H. Horstmann Sr., age 85, at rest May 20, 2011. Beloved husband of Phyllis, nee Richter, to whom he was married 60 years; loving father of Richard Jr., (Kimberly), Cheryl (Thomas) Willhoit, Larry (Barb), Linda (Frank) Budzisz, and the late Dale Horstmann; cherished father - in- law to Barbara Horstmann; cherished grandfather to Stanley (Denise) Richard lll (Dani), Jeff (Catie), Michelle, David, Val, Melanie, Alison, Lauren, Gerald, and Alex; adored great-grandfather to Richard IV, Dale, Kayleigh, Jessica, Stacey, and Ellie; dear brother to Ruth (late Leonard) Nelson; preceeded in death by his brother Henry (Lee) Horstmann and sister Florence Horstmann. Richard also leaves in his memory other family members including Emily and Buzz Kenning. Friend to many. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 9 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. Richard will Lie In State, Monday, May 23, 2011, at 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m., held at Hope Lutheran Church, 5159 Madison St., Hillside, Illinois.
