Raymond R. Riemer, age 99, born in Bellwood, Illinois. He passed peacefully Saturday, March 9, 2024. Beloved husband of Carol A. Riemer (nee Brandt) for 62 years. Loving father of, Kenneth (Sharna) Riemer, and Ron Riemer. Cherished grandfather of, Sarah, Michael, Christopher, Kayla, and Shawn.
He was a graduate of Proviso High School and went on to enlist in the US Navy. Raymond worked for both Illinois Bell and AT&T until his retirement. He had a love for gardening and working outdoors. He was an avid reader of Louis LaMour books. He was a parishioner at Hope Lutheran Church and went to become a church elder. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 5159 Madison St., Hillside, IL 60162. Funeral service to follow at 11:00.
