Kiki “Vasiliki” Stevens, nee Karavites of Oak Brook, IL. Born March 7th 1933, in Paleohorion, Kynourias, Greece, passed away peacefully after a 20 year battle with Alzheimers. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Metaxia (Kolokouris) Karavites. Survived by her devoted husband Stanley Stevens. Mother to Katina (Peter) Kavooras and George Stevens.
Proud grandmother (Yiayia) to Evan and Michael Kavooras. Dearest sister to the late Peter (late Adamadia) Karavites, the late Georgia (late George) Tsapralis, the late Demetrios Karavites, the late Angelo (Janet) Karavites and the late Effie (late Tony) Diamond.
Sister-in-law of the late James (late Elaine) Costakis. Loving Godmother to Anthony Tsapralis, Maxine Xifaras and Stephanie Dionesotes. Font Aunt and friend to many.
Kiki moved to Chicago with her family as a young teenager. She was a proud graduate of Kelly High School in Chicago. Kiki led an interesting life as she began her career as a part time mode, winning beauty contests and even acted on a tv series. She went on to become a proud McDonald’s female owner and operate which she ran alongside Stanley, owning over 10 restaurants. Kiki was devoted to her Greek Orthodox faith with many fond memories of building the alter at Holy Apostles and Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Kiki will be remembered for her beauty, outgoing personality and her business savviness.
