Hugo A. Lorenz was born on July 5, 1926 in Elmhurst, Illinois. He was the son of the late Hugo E. and the late Linda T. (nee Trampel) Lorenz. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwestern University in 1949 and a Bachelor of Law Degree from Harvard University in 1952. He was a Director, Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Globe Life Insurance Company in Chicago from 1973-1995, the Secretary of Great Equity Life Insurance Company from 1977-1980, an associate at Pat Ryan & Associates Inc., Virginia Surety Company in Chicago from 1977-1996, and the Vice President of Union Fidelity Life Insurance Company from 1993-1996. Hugo enjoyed sailing, skiing, fine dining, and fine wine. A private burial will be held by the family.
