Elaine Alex

Elaine Alex, beloved wife of John Alex, loving mother of Regina (John) Kulidas, Constance Elaine Alex and Louis (Christine) Alex, loving grandmother of Zoe Kulidas and John and Stephen Alex and devoted sister of Constance (Ron) Bokowy. Elaine was a teacher in Evergreen Park following her graduation from Northern Illinois University in 1959. She was a past president of the Greek Women’s University Club and an active and devoted member of the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her sisters Maria (Frank) Clark, Cathy (Fotis) Georgatsos and Eurydice (George) Kartsounis. Her love, compassion and inspiration to all who had the opportunity to know her will forever be remembered and cherished. Visitation on Monday, June 27 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace, Il. Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28 at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, 2501 South Wolf Rd, Westchester, Il. followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Il. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in memory of Elaine Alex.
