Edith B. Gregsamer

Edith B. Gregsamer, age 92, passed away March 20th, 2017 peacefully through the night. Beloved wife of the Late Louis Gregsamer. Loving sister of Martin A. (Helen) Poenisch, and Margaret Ann (late Gordon) Scott. Loving aunt of Mary Anne (Gary) Roth, Janine (Phil) Salb and Jennifer (Nathaniel) Looper. Great Aunt of Ryan (Kerry) Roth, Stephanie (Matt) Bloom, Rene (Jason) DeGuzman, Natalie Salb, Alex, Annie, R.J., and Levi Looper. Great great aunt of Shay and Finn Roth, Dominic DeGuzman, and Brielle and Bradley Bloom. Cherished caretaker to her favorite cat Freddy. Edith worked for Illinois Bell as a supervisor for many years. She was very active with her church and the community. She was involved with the Pioneers and Junior Achievement. When she retired she worked at a day care. She loved children, babysitting, and animals. She will be sorely missed by her many, many caring friends. A visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17w201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace, Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Chapel Service to follow starting at 12. Interment will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and for her love of animals, donations to the Anti-Cruelty Society Chicago would be greatly appreciated, 169 W.
