Daisy Gladys Duke

Daisy truly loved life and was young at heart. She enjoyed gardening, canning and making jelly. She loved the snow and made her last snow angel when she was 78 years old. Many times she took her grandchildren sledding. And she loved black licorice. Daisy was a great care giver. Not only to her family, but also to friends and neighbors. It was not unusual for her to make and deliver meals to those who were sick. Daisy was a pet lover. Her favorites were her dogs Brandy and Ruby. She would put out food for the stray cats, as well as feed the squirrels. Daisy’s greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Daisy had five children Robert (Carol), Colleen, Lynn (Dave), Dawn (Marvin) and Ronald (Kathie). She was blessed with ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and many others that call her Grandma. Her passing has left a very large hole in the hearts and lives of those who love her. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 4th at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home 17W201 Roosevelt Road Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Family and friends gathering from 11:00 a.m. until time of chapel service at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. For more information 630-941-5860.
