Verna Elsie Jensen, the daughter of Otto and Ella Brandt , was born in Oak Lawn June 11, 1916 and passed away peacefully in Atlanta, Georgia, August 7, 2014 age 98. She married Julius (Jules) D Jensen in 1943 who passed away in 1990. They moved to Florida around 1950 but maintained their links to South Chicago through their business, Southwest Beer Distributors, and Jules’s first family.
Verna leaves behind a daughter, Janis ,of Atlanta, GA, who was born in 1953, her husband Roger, 2 grandchildren, Nicholas and Zoe, a great-granddaughter, Sydney, two step-daughters, Arline Karlson of Orland Park, Illinois, and Lorelei Churan of Clearwater, Florida, as well as their families, all of whom she held dear to her heart.
