I worked along side Sally at ATA @ Midway Airport. I relocated to the Chicago area from Indianapolis in August of 2000. I believe Sally began working at ATA sometime in 2003, as she replaced Joann when she retired. Sally, Joe Dailey and I worked along side each other from that time until sometime in 2007. Working along side Sally and Joe were by far my fondest memories while working for ATA in Midway. Sally you are truly missed!

Sally you will be missed by so many.  Lots of great memories made at Marquette that will live on forever.  She loved her blended drinks that she would make for everyone.  (Oh and we loved them too !). She was so generous to all and loved everyone and had a  Special place in her heart for all the children.  She loved kids.  One of my favorite was at a picnic... my grandson Gavin came with me and she played all afternoon with him.  I could go on and on with great memories of Sally  and everyone that knew her knows what I’m talking about.  And Ray, she loved and adored you as much as you loved her. May you Rest In Peace. When I think of Sally I smile because that is what I remember the most about Sally, her smile.  What great times we had riding our waverunners on Lake Michigan and up and down the ditch. I remember the countless crazy parties at Marquette and the hours spent just talking and laughing. Sally was a special person. She was fun, caring and kind. Sally was just easy to love and loved by many. She will be greatly missed. 💕

One of the first times I met Sally we were helping the guys out at Marquette Yacht Club with the beer can chicken dinner.  When we all arrived back at the club after spending a day at the beach Sally and I quickly realized that the 30 chickens were only half cooked because the three guys in charge of it were half baked!!!  The chickens cooked on a half can of beer, the three guys in charge drank the other half plus a few more beers. 🍻  We worked very hard for the next hour and a half to make sure everybody was able to have a chicken dinner without getting sick. We laughed so hard and had such a great time and quickly became good friends. A toast to you Sally 🍻, you will truly be missed by many.

I worked with Sally at ATA at Midway Airport. I worked in the Publications Department and I had just been recently transfered to MDW from Indy Headquarters when I met Sally.  Sally took over as Administrative Assistant for Joann Bronske who had retired.  Joe Dailey also became the Chief Pilot around the same time.  Sally, Joe and I struck up a pretty good friendship over the next 6 or 7 years, and as many of you know ATA went out of business in April of 2008.  Sally and I stayed in contact from time to time after ATA and after I relocated back to Indy. We would mostly stay and touch through Facebook, and share phone calls from time to time.  We even connected a couple of times when I would come up to visit friends.  The last time I spoke to her was March or April of last year. It was amazing to see that she was still upbeat and positive and full of life even while going through health issues.  I have so many memories from working at ATA, and Sally was certainly one of those memories. My condolences go out to all of her Family and Friends.  Until our paths meet again, may you rest in peace my friend...
