Robert "Bob" William Pospishil

Robert “Bob” Pospishil, age 93, of Woodridge, Illinois passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022. Robert was born November 8, 1928 in Cedar Rapids Iowa. His loving wife Mary Pospishil (nee Ganakos) precedes Bob in death.

Bob graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Idaho State, and with a Master’s degree from Roosevelt University. He served in the Airborne Division of the United States Army. Bob went on to work with the Chicago Public School where he was a Teacher and Principal, and received a “Educator of the Year” award. He enjoyed playing handball, golf, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bob is the devoted father of Bill (Whitney) Pospishil and Helen (Ron) Suntken, Adoring grandfather of Robert Suntken, Rebecca Suntken, and Sana Pospishil. Dear brother of the late Ronald (Sharon) Pospishil. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. A good friend to many.

A visitation will be held on Friday September 16, 2022 from 9:00am until 10:00am at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church 11025 S. Roberts Rd, Palos Hills, 60465 with a funeral service to follow beginning at 10:00am. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
