Robert J Polzin

Robert was born April 13, 1949 in Evergreen Park to the late Edward and Gertrude Polzin.

Robert is the loving brother of Edward (Nancy) Polzin Sr., William (Joan DiGraiza) Polzin, Mary Polzin, and the late Jean Schaffer; proud uncle to Edward (Ni) Polzin Jr., Laura Polzin, Cheryl (Robert) Watson, Vicki (Tom) Matykiewicz, Valerie (Charles) Watson, Jennifer (Timothy) Conroy, Christina (Derick) Egan, Anthony Galligani, Cindy (Robert) Meyer and George (Agnes) Schaffer; great uncle to Amber and Natalie Polzin, Mya, Lillian, and Bruce Watson, Andrew Matykiewicz, Justin Prosser, Charles, Marshall and Mackenzie Watson, Myranda, Margaux and Mavis Egan, Heidi Meyer, George Q. and Isabelle Shaffer; and best friend to Steve Worthan.

Robert is a 1968 Evergreen Park High School graduate. He was a detailer for Crown Buick, and enjoyed working on cars. He also worked at Ideal School Supply for over 12 years. He then retired from Exceptional Healthcare. Robert was an avid gardener and liked to collect model cars. He was very supportive of our military, and collecting World War I and World War II artifacts. He volunteered and was an honorary member of Toys for Tots. Robert enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed spending his time with family.

Memorial services will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Chapel Hill Garden South Funeral Home (11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453). Visitation will be 10:00 am until the time of his memorial service at Chapel Hill Garden South Funeral Home.
