Richard A. Karner,age 83,of Palos Heights Illinois. Passed away peacefully on July 12,2014 in Palos Community Hospital. Proud veteran of the U. S. Navy while in the Korean War. Beloved husband of Phyllis Nee Ferm. Loving father of Richard "Rick" Jr. (Kelly), Kurt Sr. and the late Laura Jean Karner. Dearest grandfather of Kurt Jr. (Katie), Kyle,Kevin,Brianna and Hannah. Fond brother of the late Joseph (Vivian) Karner. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday July 14,2014 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home and Cemetery,11333 S. Central Ave. Oak Lawn. Chapel Service Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. Interment on the cemetery grounds. Member of V.F.W. Post 2604.
