Phyllis E Bemis

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 24, 1940. She was part of the 1st Graduating Class of Evergreen Park High School in 1958.

Phyllis was married to Jerry C. Bemis Sr. for 39 years until his death in 1997.

Phyllis worked as a store manager for Fitzsimmons Home Medical. Throughout her career, she enjoyed helping thousands of patients get the medical equipment and oxygen needed for their in home care.

Phyllis is survived by her five sons: Jerry C. Jr. (Nancy), Richard, Ronald (Sandra), David (Holly), and Dale

Phyllis was the loving grandmother to Jerry C. III, Lori, Stephanie, Zachary, Lyrica, Karen, Ronald Jr, Jen, Emily, Maggie, and Sadie.

Phyllis was the beloved great grandmother to 11 great grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Carson R. Packer Sr., Grace L. Packer (nee Clark), and brother Carson R. Packer Jr "Bud".

A visitation for Phyllis will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home, 11333 South Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Following the visitation will be a small service followed by burial from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home & Cemetery, 11333 S Central Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
