I just saw this. I wondered why Pete went silent on social media. My condolences to Pete’s family and friends.
I am Trudie Footes Daughter. I think Pete and I were second cousins.

We were so saddened to hear recently about Peter’s death.  We are sending our deepest condolences to Anna and Peter Donald.   We hope your memories bring you comfort during these first months.  Thinking of you both with love, Corynne Romine and Michelle Mascaro

I just found out today (6/26/24) that Pete has passed away.

Pete was one of the kindest and most gentle spirits I’ve ever known. He was two years behind me at Spring Hill, but I always felt a connection with him. He attended our wedding in Winnetka in 1978. 

I’ll miss him for sure and  am saddened by his departure from this life.

My last conversation with Peter was at my father’s wake.. Peter sat with me and chatted about fond memories of growing up in Beverly.  He truly exemplified a graceful resilience and a zest for life despite his health concerns. His wit, wisdom and countless gifts were graciously shared and will continue to inspire. Offering my prayers and deepest condolences to all of those dear to Peter.

Anna and  Peter D. I am so sorry for your loss. I will cherish the memories of Peter and keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Peter was a great friend and joyful presence in my life. His good humor and silly jokes lifted my spirits.  He will be missed.

Sadly remembering my 1st college roommate.  RIP Pete, you will be missed.

I’ve been praying for Pete. His was a life devoted to service. He got it. 

I hope that one day, I can come to the Peace that I know Pete enjoys right now.

Always will remember the twinkle in his eye when he was about to deliver one of his puns.  He helped to make Hyde Park feel like home.  Rest in God’s peace, Peter.

My dearest condolences. I went to school with Peter. We were Boy Scouts together for many years as well as neighbors. We went to Michigan every year for Boy Scouts. Every dinner Peter would sing Bridge Over Troubled Waters. He had an angelic voice and was a very gentle sweet man. We will miss him      David Kroll

The world has suffered a great loss in the passing of Peter James Foote,  He was a man of good character, loved his family dearly. was kind to all and a fabulous conversationalist.  Peter and I were second cousins and enjoyed many long conversations by telephone.  I cherish every word he spoke and the many things he shared with me.  My heart and prayers go out to Anna and young Peter, as well as his brother and sisters.  He will be sadly missed by all those whose lives he touched!

Prayers for Peter’s family.  Years of theater experiences with Peter with many different groups.  He was always welcoming, respectful and friendly to everyone he met.   He will be truly missed.

Condolences to all who loved Peter, which was easy to do.  Peter’s faith was warm and welcoming, and I very much look forward to seeing him again.

Peter, may the memory of you be in every Owasippe Scouts heart
and know well that we will all meet at the final camp-fire.
