2 years already but seems like almost no time at all since we lost you.  I was reading an article on a future ology site and wished I could talk to you about it.  Still missing you!

Can't believe it's been two years since we lost you. I miss our conversations MJ. I'm going to go remove some DRM from video files in your honor today. :-)

Still thinking about you - I can't even believe it's been a year.   I still  miss our conversations and the Happy Friday text messages.  

Hard to believe it’s been a year since we lost you. I think about you a lot and how my life is less full without you in it.

I first met MJ in May of 1999 when I started working at Ameritech. I remember Michael's love of music. Napster and MP3s were super popular at the time, and he was collecting them all!

We both were working on the server team there at Ameritech and loved technology. I remember one time we were using a program that could send messages between computer accounts. We were bantering back and forth, but when Mike sent one of the messages, he inadvertently sent it to the entire domain of computers! Hundreds of users at multiple locations across the five state Ameritech region had a message pop up on their screens that made absolutely no sense. :-) I left Ameritech towards the end of 2000, but Mike and I kept in touch.

Mike and I both enjoyed movies, television shows, and technology. We especially liked everything Science Fiction. We would frequently chat about whatever the latest series was that we were watching. I know Mike also loved to read. Recently, the series "The Expanse" wrapped up, and I know Mike had read all of the books.

Mike and I exchanged texts multiple times every week. I am very heartbroken to find out about his passing. I'm going to miss chatting about things. I'm going to miss his "Happy Friday!" and "Happy Hump Day!" messages. I know you endured some pretty tough things Mike. I know my life is less bright without you in it, and I'm sure there are many others who feel the same. Goodbye my friend, I will miss you.

Mike always had interesting things to say about any topic. I will miss talking with him about books, TV shows, movies, and anything else that came up. I will miss hearing about his perspective and his experiences. I will miss swapping stories about our cats. I will miss him. My condolences to his family and other friends. 

Wow, I have so many great years of awesome memories with Mike!  For that, I've always felt super lucky to have been friends with such a great, friendly, fun loving human being.  
Mike had many many circles of true friends, very good people, and very unsurprisingly so if you knew him.  He defined what, "true friendship" really is.
His personality was magnetic by default.  
I'm lucky for the chance to have spent countless unforgettable great times in his presence. 
He also helped me get through some of my very toughest times, in which to him I will be forever grateful for.  I will miss him dearly.
Thank you a million times over my friend, for being my friend, my brother.
My utmost condolences to his family.  You are in my thoughts always. 

Mike was a good friend and I have many happy memories with him and growing up in Naperville. I miss him and things just won't be the same without him.
