Mary Helen Ritter

Mary Helen was born December 8, 1926 in Chicago to the late John and Margaret (nee Friedel) Otten. Mary was the loving wife to the late John Ritter; devoted mother to the late John (Kathy Scanland) Ritter, the late Harry (Peggy) Ritter, Frank (Norma) Ritter, Joanne Neff, Ken (Jean) Ritter; grandmother to 16; great grandmother to 27; great-great grandmother to 2; cherished sister to the late Margaret Cloutier, Catherine Mendoza, and Annette Langbauer.

Mary retired from the Chicago Transit Authority after 25 years of service. She was a long standing member of The First Baptist Church of Palos Hills. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home (11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453 from 3:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Randall Clark officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given towards The Alzheimers Association https://www.alz.org.
