Mark Frye, 62, of Oak Lawn, passed away February 11th, 2022. Husband of 17 years to Jean Sterrett of East Moline. Father to Wesley (Marissa) Frye of Brooklyn Center, MN, Kara (Jordan) Taghon of Moline, and Warren Frye of Alton. Brother to Christine (Dan) Corning of Tinley Park. Uncle to Karoline Corning of Tinley Park.
Born in Chicago, he was raised by adoptive parents George and Loretta Frye (Stypa). He graduated Marist High School in 1978, and went on to complete an MBA program at Loyola Chicago in 1990. An astute businessman, he worked at Bank One Chicago (now JP Morgan Chase) for nineteen years, where he met Jean. He was an avid supporter of all his children’s dreams, and loved music of many kinds- especially hard rock. He loved to fish, attend church, tell a joke, and was a devoted fan of the White Sox and Bears.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 18th, at 9:30am at St. Linus in Oak Lawn, 10300 Lawler Ave. Luncheon to follow.
