Meg, So sorry for the loss of your mother.Your mother is always with you...She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She's the smell of bleach in your freshly laundered socks. She's the cool hand on your brow when you're not well. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She's crystallized in every tear drop...She's the place you came from, your first home. She's the map you follow with every step that you take. She's your first love and your first heart break....and nothing on earth can separate you. Not time, Not space...Not even death....will ever separate you from your mother....You carry her inside of you.
We loved her and will miss her.

I first met Linda at Sisters Lake in 1971.  We kept coming back for 15 yrs. straight because of Linda and the rest of the Butlers from Chicago.  What a wonderful person she was and a great Mom.  I do not believe their was any sports she could not excel in.  I remember having her for a partner in the "bean bag " tournament.  She would of won it that year if she had a better partner.  I remember staying up late listening to her stories and laughing till I cried.  She would also bring the most interesting people up to the lake.  They became friends of ours and she treated everyone like they were family and we were because Linda would have it no other way.  She loved and was very proud of her children.  Through her own tragedy,(Blainey), she showed us her strength and courage which we all new she had.  Linda, rest in peace, and thank you for the the extreme pleasure of letting us know you.  Megan, God blessed you with a great Mom and we all feel your loss.  Frank Yeager

Dear Butler family- We were so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. What a lovely lady she was! We are honored to count our son, Mike, as one of your scholarship kids and it was a true blessing to get to meet Linda and her whole family. May she rest in peace.

She was a woman with a mission, and family was number one on her list. I was always amazed at how she light up every time she would see her grand babies. She was a proud mother and grandmother, and always had such a enthusiastic attitude towards life. I loved being around her at sisters lakes. I believe she taught us all how to love each other and love life. She will truly be missed. God has another good angel up there in heaven. Meg, so sorry for your loss. I know she taught you how to be a good Mom, and now she lives through you. She was always so proud of you. Sorry I can't make the funeral. I love you guys and will keep praying for you.

Meg,  your Mom was loved by everyone...she was so much fun. We laughed together & dried one anothers tears too. Most of all she brought joy to my life going back to our Longwood days. She will forever remain in my heart. May your sweet memories of her give you & your beautiful family strength & courage to go along this painful Journey.
