Karl J. Mueller, born October 31, 1925 passed peacefully with his family at his side on October 30, 2023. Karl was a United States Navy Corpsman World War II Veteran; Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Cunningham) for 32 years and she is waiting for him in heaven; Loving father of Judy (Joe) Smith, Bill (Mary Rose), Bob (Cathy), Terese, Patti (Mike) Simone and the late Karl; Proud grandfather of Joey (Cheryl) Smith, Tom (Denise) Smith, Bob (Carrie) Mueller, Karl (Lia) Mueller, Jill (Pablo) Guzman, Bill (Holly) Mueller, Sera (Tim) Laskowski, Kevin (Elyse) Mueller, Paul Bocian, Bobby Mueller, Mary Claire and Lucas Simone; Great-grandfather of Josh (Kayla), Max, Ellie, Zora, Will, Noah, Isaac, Finn, Olivia, James, Megan, Maggie, Jack, Cora, and Erica (Rick); Great-great grandfather of Leni and Willa; Fond brother of Mary (late Harry) Booth and the late Bob (late Jill), and late Jim (late Karen); Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and an unforgettable friend to everyone; Karl with a K grew up in St. Kilian's Parish on the south side of Chicago and was a graduate of Leo High School, class of 1943. He worked for Illinois Bell, was a lifelong volunteer, avid golfer, and the officiant for four family weddings.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Karl that will be held Sunday, November 5th, 2023 from 1:00p.m. until 5:00p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, 8200 South Kostner, Chicago, Illinois 60652. Interment at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
