Joyce Jean, as my mom would call her, was my aunt.  My mom is Dorothy, Joyce's  sister #4

Aunt Joyce was a joyous, beautiful ray of sunshine. She was deeply loved. She richly blessed the lives of every person who was fortunate enough to know her. She filled our lives with love and laughter. She was a beautiful, kind, generous, loving soul. She loved music and was always dancing, singing and always ready for fun. I can still hear her in my mind singing Zippity Doo Dah or I got a shoe, you got a shoe, all of God's children got a shoe, when I get to Heaven gonna put on my shoe, gonna  walk all over God's Heaven.

I loved her with all of my heart.  I'm truly blessed to have had her as my aunt and to have shared many fun, wonderful times with her. She will always live on through the joyous, wonderful memories that I have of her.

Though I am saddened by the loss of her on this Earth, we as believers in eternal life through Jesus Christ, can take comfort in knowing that this goodbye is not forever. For one day, as believers, we will see her again and rejoice with her in the presence and loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Until then, we take comfort in knowing that God is with all us who deeply loved her and will give us the strength and grace to get through the days ahead.

My heart and prayers go out to you all. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I was privileged to have known and worked with Joyce at Schefsky & Froelich/Taft. Over my 20 years with the firm, Joyce always stood out as one of the kindest, sweetest and dearest ladies that anyone could have the privilege of knowing. She was an old-fashioned professional, and at the same time was a person of quiet wit and humor. She was truly the heart and soul of the firm, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
