John B. Kosaka, proud U.S. Army veteran, resident of Evergreen Park, born on the island of Palau and raised in Guam, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 8, 2025 at the age of 81. Loving Husband of Rosemary, nee Neylon, for a loving 58 years. Devoted Father of Christine (Christopher) Karpluk, Deborah Lettiere, and Melanie (John) Summers. Cherished Grandfather of Colin, Kyle, and Abigail Karpluk; Joshua and Sophia Lettiere; and Rosebud and Violet Summers. Beloved Son of the late Tadashi “Paulo” and Amelia, nee Borja. Dear Brother of Ana Baker, Cecilia Mays, and the late Martin, Francisco, Manuel, Roberto, Estella, Masulino, Candida Aguon, and Bertram; and Brother-in-Law of Mary Judith (Edward) Ulrich. Fond Uncle of the late Linda, Annette, and Christopher Ulrich, and many more nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for John will take place Friday, April 18, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453. A Chapel Service will follow directly at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th St. Alsip, Illinois 60803.
