James E. Zurawik, age 65 native of Chicago and lived on the Southside. He had a love for motorcycles, traveling, carpentry, fishing and boating. His career as a Chicago Police officer consisted of patrolling the Robert Taylor homes with the Chicago Public Housing Unit for 18 years eventually retiring as a Bomb and Arson detective. Jim was a quiet, laid back, kindhearted and gentle soul. His humor was dry and would always keep a person on their toes. He retired in Cape Coral, Florida where he resided with his long-time companion and best friend, Kathy Wrona.

Jim enjoyed carpentry and handcrafted many clocks that he proudly displayed around his home.
