Gloria Maria Burke

Gloria Maria Burke, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2023. She is survived by her loving children; Lillian Doval, Peter Burke, Jose (Antoinette) Burke, Yvonne Rosa, Eric S. (fiancée Marlene Novak) Burke and Mario Burke; cherished grandchildren; Tito, Lilita, Peter, Sophia, Andre, Kris, Eric S. Burke II, Lorne, Jeena, Kiyana, Christian, Mimi, Jose, Joshua, Noah, Jordan, Alexandria and Jonah; sisters-in-law; Betty Burke and Debra Petitan. Gloria is also survived by many precious great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, J. Marcellus Burke; son, Dmitri Burke; grandson, Ramon and siblings; Hilda, Irma, Joey and Pete.

Gloria was the Matriarch of her beautiful family. She was the glue that held everything together. Gloria loved nothing more than being a homemaker caring for her family. She taught all of her children the importance of being independent. She was a spiritual woman who loved to dance and sew. Gloria will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, IL. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
