Gary D. Ellis

Beloved father of Gary (Malinda) Brown and Laura Hawthorne; cherished granddad of Walter, Tearra, Aija, LaDon, Ava, Dillon, Dustin and Layla; cherished great granddad of Avoni, Ava, Jarvet and Damoni; dear brother of Ernest Ellis, Sandra Ellis and Milton Ellis; fond uncle of Karlotte, Ernest and AShanti. Gary's memory will be cherished by many other family members, extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Winona Ellis and sister Katherine Ellis. Gary is a retired CTA bus driver and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Andrew J. McGann and Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Road, CHicago, IL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by chapel service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
