Eleanor M. Schuler, nee Marevka, age 87, of Palatine was born April 3, 1928 in Chicago to James and Mary Marevka and passed away March 15, 2016. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Schuler, Sr. for 50 years. Devoted mother of James (Linda) Schuler, Cathie (Warner Sr.) Russell, Nancy (Alan) Doetsch, Lisa (Robert) Lindemann and beloved mother of the late Joseph Schuler, Jr. Cherished grandmother of Warner, Jr. (Katlyn), Jessica (Megan), Chris (Stefanie), Tiffany (Robert), Jennifer (Scott), Jaclyn (Frank), Katelyn (Jake), Andrew, Martin, Stacy, Alex, Jake and Grant. Proud great-grandmother of 11. Fond sister of the late Marion (the late Frank Sr.) Oprzedek and the late Edward (Anne) Marevka. Caring aunt of many nieces and nephews. City girl who achieved dream with husband to move to the country on a 5-acre family farm raising children, animals, vegetables and many flowers gardens. She enjoyed extensive travel, map and book readings, friends parishioners, Keenagers church group and a large family. She was well known for her baked goods, especially her Kolacky and apple slices. Eleanor was dearly loved and will be missed by all. Visitation will be Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway Arlington Heights. Family and friends will gather on Monday March 21 at St. Francis de Sales Church, 135 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral Mass 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
