Edward T. Walz, age 81, retired CPD, passed away on January 15th, 2024. Loving husband of over 62 years to Lucille Walz, nee Leo; Beloved father to Edward (Vilia) Walz, Lisa (Kevin) Gallagher, and Michael Walz; Cherished papa to Vyto (fiancée Emily), Daiva, Dominic, Frank, and Lauren (Daniel; Great-grandfather to Brooke and Jack Pazda; Dear brother to the late Pat (Fred) Pellegrini, John (Mary Ann) Walz, LouAnne Walz, and Mary Walz; Fond uncle and friend to many; Commissioner of the MBA. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Walz.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Ed that will be held from 3 - 8 PM on Sunday, January 21st, 2024 at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois where a funeral service will take place at 11AM on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. Interment private.
