Dear family and friends of Deb,

I just learned last night, from a mutual friend of ours, that Deb passed away last year. I was so surprised and saddened to hear this. Deb and I were friends in high school. And, especially during the time she was pregnant with her beautiful daughter, Jennifer. At a time in our young lives when most people would , and did, run from such a commitment, Deb did not run.  Instead, she embraced it. We did not see each other much over the years that followed. I did run into her and her mom at Carson's in Orland just after she returned to the country. I did know that she and her mom shared a special bond. The last time I saw Deb was our 40th high school reunion. She seemed happy. Her spirit shone through her sparkly eyes. Thank you for sharing all the beautiful photos of her life. She gave love and she received love. And, most importantly, she was surrounded by all of you. I am so sorry for your loss.

 I am so sorry for your loss. I too was a classmate of Debbie and met her through my husband Mike. They were very good friends. My heart goes out to your family as I feel your pain. I’m sure she’s in a much better place now as is my husband.  Debbie will live in your hearts forever and when you think of her you will smile

Debra was truly a joy to be around. No matter the situation she always had sound advice —and truly cared about whatever I was going through even on her darkest days. She didn’t judge me...she simply cared.  Although she made sure to get whatever she needed from whoever she needed it from, she selflessly thought of and took care of others. I will always remember laughing about things no one should have to deal with because that’s how we handled life no matter how difficult. Her death leaves a hole in my heart that will always be there but will be mostly filled with joyful memories, plenty of funny moments, some great lines that will always be part of my vocabulary. I will do my best to heed her wise advice and to live a joyful life that is way too short. Love you, Deb!

I met Debra many years ago at an A&P store training in Bolingbrook IL. Her and I became instant friends and we shared so much together for many years.
 Life took us in different directions and for 30 years had no contact until I found her on Facebook a year and a 1/2 ago. Not a day went by without a text or call. It was so hard to learn of her disease. I tried not to think about it and wanted to enjoy every moment. Made a trip to Chicago  3 months ago, where I was born and raised, for now I live in Florida. 
  I visited her in the hospital and I didnt want to leave.
 Ms Debra brought much joy to my life these past 18 months. This is the card I sent you for your birthday last year and I will keep it always  near me.❤

My sincere condolences to Debra’s family and her loved ones.  Words cannot express the sadness I felt when I heard the news.  I had known Debra for more than ten years as our representative from Diversified.  Besides being outstanding at her job, she was a dear friend.  I can truly say that Debra was one of the most generous, kind and wonderful persons I have ever met.  We often teased and bantered each other about politics and always had a good laugh.  When I spoke to her few weeks ago, I was very encouraged to hear how positive and optimistic she sounded.  Now I wonder if she was just trying to comfort me to ease my worry about her.  Knowing how kind and selfless she was, I am not surprised.

My deepest sympathy to Debra's family and friends. I am sadden to hear of her passing. She made her transition and will not be struggling any longer. Debra was my rep when my company was with Diversified Investments and Transamerica. We became instant friends through work. Although I didn't see her on a regular basis we would see each other at annual conferences and when she came to California to Motion Control Engineering  to assist with any issues employees had with their 401k plan. One of my fondest memories is when I missed my flight from Ft. Myers and Debra picked me up from the airport and we spent the most amazing day walking on the beach in Sanibel. She will be terribly missed. I wish the family comfort today and the days ahead. She left a footprint on my heart and so happy she came into my life.  Margaret Kendrick - Roseville, CA
