Barbara N. Rivers

Barbara N. Rivers, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023. She is survived by her loving children: Michael (Maria) Hiller, Craig Hiller, Antonio (Teresa) Rivers, Jeanine Rivers and James (Laura) Rivers II; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; sister, Gloria Cotton; longtime best friend, Linda Muhn and dear friend, Louise Coleman. Barbara is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents: John C. and Ruby Whiteside.

Barbara was a Faithful Servant of God. She loved to read and study her bible and write letters. One of her most cherished writings is the Gospel letter titled “God’s Word Through Nana”. Barbara also enjoyed watching her programs, doing a little online shopping and spending time with her beloved dog, Handsome.

Barbara will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 with visitation from 10:00 A. M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
