Barbara W. Duffy, nee O’Neil, 50. Beloved wife of Daniel. Devoted mother of Luke, Hallie and Emily. Loving daughter of Dolores and the late William O’Neil. Cherished sister of Stephen (Angie Miller), Beth O’Neil (Susan McConnell), Janet Moss, William Jr. (Mary), Sharon (James) Gainer, Sheila (Peter Whalen) and the late James O’Neil. Dear aunt of Tracy, Brianna, Brendan, Jimmy, Lauren, David, Jack, Patrick, Colin, Clare, Emma, Jill, Nick, Matt, Brennan, Caitlyn, Daniel, Molly, Matt, Charlie, Kacky, Mollie, Casey, Abbie, Danny, David, Brian, Tess, Duffy, Connor, Eva, Quinn, Lyla, Ryan, Kirsten and Polo. Great aunt of Madeline, Sophia, Faye and Owen. Dearest daughter-in-law of Joan and the late Donald Duffy. Graduate of St. John Fisher Grammar School, Mother McAuley High School, Illinois State University and St. Xavier University where she received a Masters in Education Adminstration. Long time teacher in Oak Lawn Public Schools system, former member of the St. Linus School Board. With her dear friend Bro. Vito Aresto, championed the Marcellin Program at Marist High School. Now at peace after a 3 year battle with ALS. She inspired many with her courage, grace and faith. Visitation Sunday 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at St. Linus Church, 10300 S. Lawler, Oak Lawn. Funeral Mass Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Linus Church. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Les Turner ALS Foundation, 5550 W.
