Barb was such a beautiful person and am so glad I got to work with her.  I call her my friend and my sister in the Lord.  She loved JESUS and her family dearly.  Never heard her say a negative word about anyone.  I can hear her laughter now.  When she text me about her illness she said she was at peace.  Now she is in Heaven with her Harold.  To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord Jesus.  Candice and family may your hearts be filled with hope. 1Thess. 4:13,14

You told me lilacs are your favorite and this spring we learned that we have many lilacs bushes in our yard. So every year, when they bloom, they bloom for you, for us, in your memory. Pretty magical if you ask me. 
I love you. We love you. And it gives me comfort to know that even though I wasn’t ready, that you were. And that you are at peace, reuniting with your love.

I’ll miss me and Jørgen calling you and talking your ear off! And I’ll miss your salmon patties and chocolate cake, among the amazing other things you cooked so well. I will also continue to make salmon patties in your honor (we nailed them last Christmas!) And I’ll keep trying to get the pierogis right 😂.

Auntie Barbara- you are a heart of gold. A woman of great strength, kindness, acceptance and love. You always made a place brighter. Your laugh - I can hear it now. It was perfect! I got to tell you how much I loved you before you passed, and I’m grateful for that. You know how much I love you and how much I always will. I carry you close and know you’re with me. This was a super fun day, remember?!

This picture was taken the last Sunday I was at Bethel church before I moved to kentucky. Both me and Barb were sad.

This was from the last Sunday that I saw Barb and all my new church family at Bethel Church.

Barb and Harold went to Oak Lawn Bible Church, Faith Ministeries Church and Bethel Bible Church with me. I loved them both. Harold always had a smile and a joke for us. My husband always enjoyed Harold's company especially at the Men's Breakfasts at Bethel. Harold made Jim laugh. Barb was quieter but she would have time for anyone who wanted to engage her in conversation. She quietly worked behind the scenes to help others when they were in need. I attended prayer meetings with Barb. She had a prayer warrior's heart for everyone. She knew that God was listening and even if He didn't give us the answers we wanted, that there was a good reason for it. She never gave up trusting in God's love for His children.

When I think about Barb I always think about Harold. When Harold was sick, Barb lovingly cared for her "Hon." She had a servant's heart and loved her husband to the moon and back. It was obvious to anyone who saw them together. They loved each other in the way that Christ loves His church. It just so happened that Harold got sick first and Barb took care of him. I pray that I could be half as dedicated to my spouse as they were to each other. In a day where people don't want to be bothered with helping others sacrificially, Barb definitely "walked the talk."  

Harold and Barb adored their family. I know Candie is going to miss her beloved parents for as long as she lives. It's definitely hard to lose someone who means so much to us. Candie has lost both her precious parents in a short time. However, that loss is temporary. Harold and Barb loved Jesus and are with Him right now. That is the hope of the Gospel. We don't grieve like those who have no hope.  I will continue to pray for Candie, her husband Rob and sweet Summer. I know how much Barb and Harold meant to Summer too.  Barb will definitely be missed as Harold has been. Yet, we celebrate the joy that both of them are now experiencing with their Lord and Savior!

 My most fondest memories of her are the ladies outings at church and the ladies christmas parties. I remember  the christmas party two tears ago when we had a grab bag gift exchange. I got a wireless charger with two USB ports. Barb walked over to me and told me that she was the wan that gave away the charger. I will always keep that charger and remember her kindness to me and my family. I remember my last Sunday at Bethel Church before we moved here to Mayfield kentucky. It was very sad. I was crying and Barb came up and comforted me. My friend Barbie had taken a picture of me and Barb together. I will always keep that picture in my phone there is a very special memory of Barbie and I together. God bless your whole family.

My late wife Linda and I considered Barb and Harold our close friends for over 50 years. Linda and Barb met in high school in the mid 1960's
   Barb, you will be missed but you are with Harold and Linda now and  I look forward to seeing you again.

Barb was a lovely lady. It was hard to think about her without mentioning Harold. They went together like peas and carrots. I loved them both and will truly miss them. I am very sad for you, Candie.  I know that she is out of pain and is soaking in God's glory.  I know that there aren't any spouses in heaven but we will recognize each other. Harold was waiting for her. I am sure of that.  You will be in my prayers and thoughts. I know it is a tough time; even tougher around the holidays. I remember getting Christmas cards from her and will think about her when I start getting some in my mailbox. Just know that you are not alone during this time of sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are for you, Candie, and your family.
