Robert Hartley

Robert A. Hartley, 92, of Novato, passed away April 4th, 2015. He was born in Denver, Colorado on February 28, 1923. Robert graduated from Denver High School and attended the University of Denver until he was forced to enlist in the Navy in 1942. He was married to Elizabeth M. Hartley on June 29, 1946 until her passing in January of 1993. Robert had a career in TV Broadcasting for ABC/KGO TV in San Francisco for 37 years. He was a member of The Marin Country Club for many years, SIRS, past president of WPAC and had a passion for golf, photography, traveling, oil painting, stained glass making and his family. He is survived by his loving companion Mary Bosque of Novato, CA, Robert Alton Hartley, Jr., Noreen Linda Massey, Kenneth Jay Hartley, Sean Andrew Mecham, Kellie Marie O’Hern, Robert Alton Hartley III, Kenneth Efren Hartley, Jay Robert Hartley and great-granddaughter Haiden Ashley O’Hern.

In liu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. A Visitation will be held at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato on Monday, April 20th at 10am followed by a Memorial Service at 11am and a reception at noon.
