Joan O’Donnell Sokitch, aged 88, of Novato, passed away March 11, 2016. She was born in Glenties, Ireland on January 5, 1928. She lovingly dedicated her life to her family and church. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Novato. She enjoyed fashion, music and sports and had a passion for many charitable causes. Joan is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children Michael Sokitch and Aisling Gilliland and grandchildren, Nicole, Hannah and Ronan Gilliland. Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua.
