Estelle Helena Davis

February 17, 1930 - March 6, 2024

Estelle Helena Davis was born and raised in the small New England town of Indian Orchard, Massachusetts. She was the sweet, shy, middle daughter of Donat and Corinne Gibeau. Growing up she enjoyed spending time with her cousins and her two sisters. Her parents were French Canadian and the family spoke French and English in the home.

On November 17, 1953 she married her loving lifetime partner Raymond Davis. Raymond was commissioned as an officer in the Navy soon before the marriage. Together they embarked on an exciting life together, traveling the world and setting up new households every few years. Within a short time, the family had grown to include five children. Some of Estelle’s favorite homes were those in Sidi Yahya, Morocco, Annapolis, Maryland and Kaneohe, Hawaii. After leaving Hawaii, she and Raymond settled in Concord, California, where they lived for almost forty years until her passing.

Throughout her life her favorite times were always those times spent with her husband and family. She was a kind, strong, support, and friend to her family. She and her husband of seventy years stood out as a very loving couple.

Estelle’s hobbies included reading, sewing, and baking. She also enjoyed singing. Together she and Raymond hosted many great family celebrations. Later in life, she loved being a grandmother to her five grandchildren, and great grandmother to her one great-grandchild

She is survived by her husband Raymond, children William, (daughter-in law) Fortunata, Corinne, Jacqueline, (son-in-law) Cees, Ronald, (daughter-in-law) June, Charles, and (daughter-in-law) Shirley. Her grandchildren are Mark, (granddaughter-in-law) Kristine, Sarah Estelle, (grandson-in-law) Todd, Mitchell, Danielle and Lauren. Her great-grandchild is Malcolm.

Estelle lived a full and happy life. She will be remembered by her husband, family and friends as someone with a great smile and optimism, who was always ready to make time to listen and care for those she loved. She will be sorely missed, by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held April 3, 2024 at All Saints Church, Novato, California at 9:30 am. Inurnment will follow at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery at 1:30. Memorial donations can be made in Estelle’s name to the American Heart Association.
