My heartfelt condolences to Bill’s family.

I worked with Bill on the business and professional level over 15 years, and we developed a personal friendship over the years.  Bill was larger than life, had an amazing sense of humor, and beyond that was a compassionate and caring soul.  Bill would always ask how I was and my family was, and not just on the surface, he very much cared.

Bill will be greatly missed by myself and our entire team.

I had the pleasure of playing raquetball with Bill for the last twenty years and the last two years playing golf. We always had a lot of fun . We called him down the middle Bill cause his drives were always straight on the golf course. I'm really going to miss such a great guy. Always had a smile, never had anything negative to say. Please feel free to reach out to me if there's anything I can do

Dear Dawn, Matthew, Corinne and Megan and Kate.  I was shocked by the news of your Husband and Dad’s sudden death this past Saturday.  I am never quite sure what to say during this trying time, but I am to say the least praying for you all and the rest of your family.  I met Billy in grade school and along with many friends spent many good times with he and his family over the years.  Blessed Sacrament I don’t believe ever quite recovered from some of our antics during those early years.  We still reminisced about them every time I would see him over the years at the Merritt or other functions.  He was a constant with the online BSS group and the reunions that we shared.  I will miss him and hope that the memories that you have last longer than my friendship with him.  You all are part of the Gentry family and along with them you have my support. I wanted to extend my sympathy to the Gentry family.  I am an IT Project Manager at Exelon and was blessed to cross paths with Bill this year as he was supporting the ADMS project for the data center build at EOB.  Due to COVID we didn't actually meet face to face, but he was always a voice of reassurance on a stand-up call that I could count on that something would be taken care of.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.  

Growing up with the Gentrys at Blessed Sacrament, my thoughts n prayers are with you. Bobby n Tommy were my classmates. John 14:1-3,6

Bill was a great brother-in-law,and husband,father,friend!  If you needed any help anytime he was there! Bill you will surely be missed! Love Judy

I graduated from Calvert Hall with Bill's son, Matt.  I got to work with Bill at Exelon over the past 7 years and he was always friendly, a genuine nice guy.  Had not seen him in over a year due to Covid but he will be missed at MSW.

To the Gentry family,  I am so very sorry for your loss.  I've worked with Bill for over 10 years on the Exelon account . He was very knowledgeable about his job and took it very seriously, but was always very personable in the process.     He was such an easy person to talk to.  He was so proud of his family and shared that often over the years.   I'm going to miss his upbeat personality and ornery sense of humor..

So sorry for your loss. Bill was the driving force behind the BSS reunions. It was so wonderful to see people again we hadn't seen in years. I'm so thankful he made the effort. May God bless and comfort you in the days to come.

Bill was not only a co-worker, he was a great friend.  I spent many days, nights and weekends on the job with Bill, even traveling out-of-town to work on various projects at different Exelon sites.  We were close and enjoyed our time together.  And as his obituary states about his sense of humor and work ethic, that was Bill to a tee.  It was easier to get through the difficult work days when he was there with you.  

We also spent time together on events outside of work and I saw him and his brother-in-law Skip at most of the Ravens games as we all have season tickets.  We had great times going out to dinners with other co-workers and friends and we always had a laugh with Bill.

I’m truly going to miss him and extend my condolences to his family who he always spoke highly of, Dawn, Matt, Corinne, Megan, Kate and the rest of his family and friends.  RIP my friend.  

Bill was always a practical joker and a hard working individual who loved his family and friends. I am glad that I had the pleasure of working with Bill on the Data Center Team.

I would call Bill Sunshine because he always made us laugh with his practical jokes most of which were played on me.
