I have been looking to speak with Wendy for years but could never find any contact information. And now today July 24th, 2022  I find her obituary. Very deeply saddened.  The reason I wanted to contact her all these years was to thank her for how she responded when I lost my grandparents and mother-in-law all in  a 22 day period . We were living downstairs in the house in Columbus Ohio at Ohio State and I knocked on the door upstairs and I said, " Wendy grandpa just died", he was the third out of the three and she just said to me, " I am so sorry" and she took my hand and we sat down in front of the Christmas tree.  It was January 1st, 1979 and she said nothing for a half hour to 45 minutes except held my hand as we looked at the Christmas lights. That was such a good example to me of how a person who is so grieving the death of so many people should be treated. She will always be in my memories for that reason. And she was a very good neighbor as well.

A beautiful person, a beautiful life and a beautiful legacy.  I will always cherish the time I had with Wendy.  Sending prayers of comfort to the family.       

Mike and I, Casey, Michael & TJ are all so sorry to hear our world here on earth has lost the light of Wendy.  She was such a force of kindness to our family as we came to Christ.   We look forward to the day when we see her again.  Thank you, God for your gift of Wendy in our lives.

My childhood path crosses with Wendy and her family from our days at University Baptist Church, in Columbus, Ohio.  Those days were filled with many memories of the times our families shared together, made richer by Wendy with her loving kindness and consideration of others.  The doors of the Woo-Lun home were always open to all of the kids to gather and share time together.  I am happy that Wendy was a part of my life, many years ago.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Gill family, Marlene, Sharon and Tim, with my deepest sympathy.

Through her gentle, kind, patient and loving spirit, you could see the grade of God through Wendy.  Wendy demonstrated daily  to me how to be the meek spirited proverb woman.  Wendy’s legacy will be carried on through all of us who she touched.   We will miss her but will rejoice in knowing that one day we will see her smiling face.  

Wow, where do I begin!  My heart aches for Wendy's family and church family as there is a BIG void that will be apparent!  For such a tiny person her heart was huge, gentle in spirit, and very humble.  I would greet her as Wendy Sue and she would return the greeting "Hello Linda Lou"!  Even though she was a pastor's wife, in one of her early groups for women, she was never on a pedestal but very approachable to us.  I learned from her what grace looked like  and so much more.  I will never forget and always treasure our time in Manhattan, NY right after the towers went down, as we participated in a mission trip with Forward Edge ministering to the local community, fire stations, and church.  It was an experience I will never forget.  We also did a homeschool art class together with our youngest children Care Bear and Clay Bud as they were fondly remembered as.   Wendy Sue will have a special place in my heart and I look forward to seeing her again in our Father's kingdom someday!

 Her smile melted your heart and made you know you were safe with her, you could share with her, you could count on her,  and you were loved by her. 
 Her genuiness and her faithfulness to Christ, her family, and all she encountered were evident! The way she and Pastor Greg, so warmly welcomed our Daughter Ashley and her Husband William Carlton to the church, and into their family was a blessing! They walked with them through some very difficult times, as we, as parents, are so very far away. And they led them, loved on them, prayed for them and exuded Christ together to them.
 We were also welcomed ever so sweetly and genuinely to church as we visited from far away. The heart and love of Christ to us through you both was overwhelming!
  We are grateful to God for Wendy and You, Pastor Greg! We love and are praying for you and the family. 
We thank you for letting us take this hard road with you and walk with you through   the valley of the shadow of death, and allowing us to pray for you! We are saddened for you as you wait to see her again, yet, we rejoice for her to be out of pain and suffering and in the  presence of out Almighty God and our Savior Jesus.

From early tea parties with our girls to homeschooling together to watching our daughters dance in ballet recitals to years and years of piano recitals with her smiling at her students...my heart is full of memories of Wendy’s sweet heart and sweet smile. Kindness & graciousness exuded from her without effort. She was a living example of the joy and love of Christ to everyone who knew her. I can almost see her now—arms out, head back, huge smile, heart wide open—dancing & spinning in heaven and just taking it all in.  And Jesus is smiling, too, saying. “well done my good and faithful servant!”❤️

Wendy lived a life for others. I remember how she welcomed us in her home. She told us stories of herself and her family. She was a great listener, humble, loving and caring.  She will forever live in my heart. Till we meet again in God's glory, rest well Wendy. 

I will always be grateful for Wendy's graciousness and love. She was a formidable force in the ministry with Greg...and a wonderful singer as well. I have in my heart and mind the memories of the worship team with Bob D'Antoni, the great times of Wendy worshipping our Lord together. She is now in my mind and spirit...singing with the Heavenly Host, giving God the ultimate glory and most of.....living in the hearts and minds of all she has encountered. Bless you Mother Wendy Gill for being ALL that Christ created you to be.

I always remember Wendy having a smile on her face. She exuded the joy of the Lord. I can only imagine her joy now. We miss you Wendy here, but we know you're overjoyed at beholding Jesus face to face!

I spent many an evening at the Gills' home (house church). Wendy was always very kind and welcoming and her love for her Lord was always readily apparent. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, church family, and friends. May God comfort you and strengthen you in the days ahead.

I was blessed to get to know Wendy when she took Body and Soul Fitness classes with me.  She was always upbeat, sweet, gracious, loving and kind.  Always praying for others and asking what she could do for you.  My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
