Norman Thames Hillenburg, Jr., age 78, of Middle River, MD, passed away on November 22, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Ann Hillenburg (nee Weyant); devoted father of Norman Thames Hillenburg, III, and the late Dewaine Curtis Hillenburg; dear brother of Neal T. Hillenburg and his wife Margie, the late Gloria Jean Hillenburg, and the late Kay Hillenburg. Norman is survived by his loving grandchildren, Haley Olivia Hillenburg and her husband Shane Riley, and Hope Patricia Ann Griffith and her husband Hunter and their mother Deborah Bauer and her husband John; his cherished great-grandchildren Gwendolynn, Levi, Bowie, Asher, and one on the way. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11 A.M., at the funeral home. Interment services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Norman’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
