Margaret E. Kerner (nee George), age 88, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on April 24, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late James Joseph Kerner, Sr.; devoted mother of Bernadette “Bea” McVey and her husband John, and James Joseph Kerner, Jr. and his wife Lynn; loving grandmother of Heather Schultz and her husband James, Andrew McVey and his partner Jon Bauman, Hannah Pion and her husband Tim, Colin Kerner and his partner Kayla Hill, Scott Garlock and his wife Kristen, Tiffany Cullison and her husband Griffin, Amanda Hrdlick and her partner Alicia Chism, and Sara Hrdlick; cherished great-grandmother of Abby, Brielle and Averie Schultz, Hailey and Owen Garlock, Bexleigh and Lakelyn Cullison; and Estella Pion.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 3-7 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Parkwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
